1. Puma (Puma concolor) — The Top Terrestrial Predator

Second-largest cat in Americas (after jaguar). Range: Arica to Tierra del Fuego. Preys on guanaco, huemul deer, viscacha, rodents, livestock. Solitary, territorial. Key ecological regulator.

2. Chilean Fox / Culpeo (Lycalopex culpaeus)

Largest South American canid (after maned wolf). Andes to Patagonia. Generalist: rodents, rabbits, birds, lizards, carrion, fruit. Adapts to disturbed landscapes.
