Where does Lake Tahoe get their water sources from?

The Truckee River supplies over 65 percent of the water that flows into Lake Tahoe, with the other 35 percent generated by rainfall and snowmelt. Lake Tahoe is fed by many rivers and creeks that drain the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding it. The largest of these tributaries is the Truckee River, which flows from Lake Tahoe to Pyramid Lake in Nevada. Other tributaries include the Upper Truckee River, the Lower Truckee River, the Trout Creek, the Taylor Creek, and the Blackwood Creek.
