Mount Chimborazo is Ecuador's highest point at 6,268 m (20,564 ft). Located in the Andes, ~150 km (93 mi) south of Quito.
It's a dormant volcano and the point on Earth's surface farthest from the center (due to equatorial bulge), making its summit closer to space than Everest's. A legendary climb for mountaineers.
