Can you walk to the Bahamas from Florida?

It is not possible to walk to the Bahamas from Florida. The closest point in the Bahamas to Florida is Bimini, which is about 50 miles away. However, there is no land bridge between the two countries, and the ocean currents are very strong. Even a strong swimmer would not be able to make it across safely.
