What age can you obtain a permit in Trinidad and Tobago?

The legal driving age in Trinidad and Tobago is 17 years old. To obtain a learner's permit, an individual must be at least 16 years and nine months old. Learner's permits allow individuals to drive under the supervision of a licensed adult.
