What does CSEC means in Jamaica?

The Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations are taken by many students at the end of their five years of secondary education. These exams are written by Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) and determine whether a student can complete secondary education and move on to tertiary (college or university) education. The CSEC examinations are internationally recognised and are used to gain entry into colleges, universities, and institutions of higher learning.
