Depending on your point of departure, a cruise from Florida to Grand Bahama Island can be a day trip or a five-day vacation. These cruises depart daily (except Wednesdays) and can be booked as an all-inclusive day cruise, a cruise package plus hotel stay on the island, or just as transportation to a longer vacation in the Bahamas. These packages range in cost depending on length of stay, starting at $129. The Discovery Cruise package includes food and drink, music, movies, a casino and, of course, sunning on the ship deck.

    Island Cruises

    • Like Discovery, Island Cruises offers a one-day cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale and arriving in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Costs start at $185 per couple, and include beverages on board the ship. Cruises can be booked and bundled with stays in Fort Lauderdale or the Bahamas, and on-board entertainment includes dining, casino, shopping and private suites.
