What continent is the Amazon in?

The Amazon rainforest is located in South America. It spans eight countries: Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, and Suriname. While the majority of the Amazon rainforest is in Brazil, Peru and Colombia also have large portions.
