Does the Bermuda Triangle Affect People?

No scientific evidence supports any supernatural or unusual effect of the Bermuda Triangle on people. The region—a loosely defined area in the western North Atlantic—has normal maritime and aviation risks: unpredictable weather, strong Gulf Stream currents, shallow reefs, and human error. Disappearance rates are statistically comparable to other heavily trafficked ocean areas. The "mystery" is largely a product of sensationalism and selective reporting.
