Mount Tupungato (6,570 m / 21,555 ft) is a massive stratovolcano in the Andes, straddling the border between Argentina (Mendoza Province) and Chile (Metropolitan Region).

  • The summit lies in Argentina, just west of the border line.
  • The bulk of the mountain's mass extends into Chile.
  • It is the highest peak south of Aconcagua and a prominent glaciated landmark.

Popular with mountaineers; normal route from the Argentine side (via Tupungato Volcano Provincial Park).
