Can you walk across the border at Sumas?

You can not walk across the border between Canada and the US at Sumas. The official border crossing between the two countries is called the Sumas-Abbotsford Port of Entry. It is located approximately 10 kilometres away, near the city of Abbotsford, British Columbia. This port of entry allows for car and pedestrian crossings, as well as commercial traffic, and has various facilities such as customs and immigration offices, as well as exchange bureaus and duty-free shops.
