Founded in 1950 by the von Trapp family, of "The Sound of Music" fame, the Austrian-inspired retreat was named "One of the Best Snow Resorts" by Parents magazine. The 2,400-acre mountain resort offers 96 guest rooms in the Alpine Lodge, 100 guest house chalets and several three-bedroom villas.
