Fun Valley Family Resort is located in South Fork, Colo., and has operated since 1959. The resort offers camping and motel vacation accommodations, including for recreational vehicles (RVs). Recreational activities also are offered on site.
Those who wish to camp have a choice of cabins ranging from about $100 to $130 per day as of August 2009. Trailer rentals start at about $65 per day, and RV hookups have a nightly rate of about $25.
Standard motel rooms, with one bed and a sleeper sofa, as well as two-room kitchenette accommodations are offered for those who do not want to go camping. The nightly rates range from about $65 to $85.
The resort offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities to all guests. Choices include fly fishing, horseback riding, biking, miniature golfing, paddle boating and inner tubing.
Guests can join in square dancing events or visit the country music theater. On-site dining, laundry facilities and a convenience store also are available.
Fun Valley Family Resort is only open seasonally from mid-May through mid-September. Long-term discounts for RV guests are offered.
