There is always something to do in San Diego. With the weather averaging around 70 degrees, children and adults can visit outdoor attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Balboa Park and Sea World.

  1. San Diego Zoo

    • The San Diego Zoo is a 100-acre zoo that has thousands of animals and rare plants on display. You can visit the San Diego Zoo's two amphitheaters, Wegeforth Bowl and Hunte Amphitheatre, to view animals that can't be seen anywhere else in the zoo. Some of these animals include sea lions, storks and ravens. Preschool age children can get up close with goats and sheep at the Children's Zoo. Don't forget to see the giant pandas before leaving the zoo.

A knowledgeable guide will drive a vehicle while pointing out several animals around the park. During the 2 1/2 mile guided tour, you might see rhinoceroses, giraffes and cape buffalo. For those that are more adventurous, try a Rolling Safari tour on a Segway or the zipline ride called Flightline.
