The Reuben H Fleet Science Center is a museum located in San Diego's Balboa Park. The Science Center features interactive exhibits, a ride simulator that takes passengers into virtual space and underwater worlds, a "Kid City" with science projects for children ages one to five and an IMAX dome featuring scientific documentaries. There's also a planetarium and various special events, depending on the time of year. Tickets can be purchased online at the Science Center's website.

Torrey Pine's City Beach, otherwise known as Black Beach, is located near the University of San Diego past a privately gated road and a line of San Diego mansions. Black Beach is famous for being the only nude beach in San Diego, but is also an ideal location for surfers. Visitors can bring a surfboard, play on the beach, hike up to the cliffs or simply enjoy playing in the water.
