San Diego, located in Southern California, is a famous city featured in many movies and a popular travel destination.   1. Reuben H. Fleet Science Center

    • The Reuben H Fleet Science Center is a museum located in San Diego's Balboa Park. The Science Center features interactive exhibits, a ride simulator that takes passengers into virtual space and underwater worlds, a "Kid City" with science projects for children ages one to five and an IMAX dome featuring scientific documentaries. There's also a planetarium and various special events, depending on the time of year. Tickets can be purchased online at the Science Center's website.

    Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

    • When you're looking for fun and cheap entertainment in San Diego, the city's array of state parks, beaches and wildlife offer an inexpensive getaway from fashion boutiques and paid entertainment. The Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is on the east side of San Diego County, right off of Interstate 8. Visitors to the desert state park can see all matters of wildlife, including roadrunners, cactus and lizards. During the spring the state park blossoms with beautiful and vibrant desert flowers. North of the state park is the Borrego Springs, which offers resorts and motels with golf and swimming pools available to guests.

    Black's Beach

    • Torrey Pine's City Beach, otherwise known as Black Beach, is located near the University of San Diego past a privately gated road and a line of San Diego mansions. Black Beach is famous for being the only nude beach in San Diego, but is also an ideal location for surfers. Visitors can bring a surfboard, play on the beach, hike up to the cliffs or simply enjoy playing in the water.

    • After a day of cheap fun in the city of San Diego, consider grabbing a bite to eat at the El Indio Taco Shop.
