Tornado-Prone Areas of Texas

Tornadoes can occur anywhere in Texas but are most common in central and northern regions. The "Tornado Alley" corridor stretches from the Gulf Coast to the Canadian border, encompassing much of Texas. This area is vulnerable due to clashes between warm, moist Gulf air and cold, dry northern air, spawning severe thunderstorms.
