What countries are allies?

There are many different alliances between countries around the world. Some of the most notable alliances include:

- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is a political and military alliance of countries from North America and Europe. It was established in 1949 to counter the Soviet Union and its allies. NATO members agree to come to the aid of any member that is attacked.
