Ponda is a town and a municipal council in the North Goa district of Goa in India. It is one of the six sub-divisions of North Goa district. Ponda is the largest city in the subdivision and is known for its many temples. The town has a population of around 25,000 people. The main language spoken in Ponda is Konkani.
