English people (UK nationals) primarily live in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. However, some do reside in Dutch-speaking regions:

• Netherlands: ~45,000 UK-born residents (2021 CBS data); concentrated in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Eindhoven (expat hubs).
• Belgium (Flanders): ~25,000 UK nationals; Brussels (EU/NATO jobs), Antwerp, Ghent.
• Suriname: Small historic community (post-independence 1975).
• Caribbean Netherlands (BES islands): Few retirees, dive professionals.

Why They're There

Language Context
