Huddersfield: A Major Yorkshire Town, Not Europe's Largest

Huddersfield, in West Yorkshire, England, has a population of approximately 162,949 (2021 census), making it one of the UK's larger towns. However, it is far from the biggest in Europe. Many European towns and cities — such as Dortmund (Germany), Malmö (Sweden), or Zaragoza (Spain) — exceed it significantly. Even within the UK, towns like Reading, Northampton, and Luton have larger populations. The title of Europe's largest town is debated due to definitions, but Huddersfield does not contend.
