The Confederation of the Rhine Dissolved at the Congress of Vienna

After Napoleon’s defeat, the 1815 Congress of Vienna abolished the French‑client Confederation of the Rhine. Its territories were redistributed among German states, and the German Confederation was created as a loose replacement alliance.
