What happened to the confederation of Rhine after congress Vienna?

After the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte and his allies in the Napoleonic Wars, the Congress of Vienna convened in 1815 to redraw the map of Europe and restore the pre-war order. The Congress abolished the Confederation of the Rhine, which had been established by Napoleon in 1806 as a French client state. The territories that had been part of the Confederation were redistributed to various German states, and the German Confederation was established as a new loose alliance of German states.
