Greece's Geographic Borders

Greece occupies the southern tip of the Balkan Peninsula and shares land borders with four countries. To the north, it borders Bulgaria and Albania. To the east, it meets Turkey and the Aegean Sea. The south is bounded by the Mediterranean Sea, while the west faces the Ionian Sea and shares another land border with Albania. This strategic location has made Greece a crossroads of civilizations for millennia.
