Contact a major car rental agency. Avis and Hertz both rent cars in Egypt and can easily be contacted via phone or their Web site. If you are staying in a hotel, they may have car rental service with a driver available. Check with your concierge to see if this option is available.
Through the car rental agency, reserve a car in the city you will be visiting for the dates you will be visiting. The agency will usually ask for your credit card number to hold the reservation. They should not charge your credit card at this time.
Request an English speaking driver for your rental car. A driver will increase the price of your rental, but it is a necessity in Egypt. The driving laws are inconsistent throughout the country and gas is hard to find. Foreigners are also not allowed to drive on certain roads, depending on the political climate. A local driver will give you a safer and more effective driving experience.
Let the car company know how many hours a day you plan on needing the driver. The driver's rate tends to increase if you go over your designated hours. It can be cost effective to schedule an hour more than you think you will need.
Once you arrive in Egypt, go to the car pick-up location as designated by the car rental company. The major car companies usually have customers pick-up their rental cars at an airport or major hotel.
At the car pick-up location, the rental company will set you up with your car and driver.
