WHEN WAS Luxembourg neutral?

Luxembourg was officially neutral from 1867 until the German invasion of Luxembourg in 1940, although it violated this neutrality when it joined what became the Allied Powers as a co-belligerent in the First World War.

Since the end of the Second World War, Luxembourg has been a member of the United Nations and has fully supported its principles and goals, including the peaceful resolution of conflicts and the promotion of human rights and democracy.
