Disney's Polynesian Resort opened in 1971 at the same time as the Magic Kingdom and has been housing guests to the Walt Disney World Resort ever since. The resort's tropical theme gives the feeling of slipping away to the islands, with tiki torch-lined pathways and lush tropical foliage. Guests of the resort can enjoy in-room dining or try out one of the four distinct dining experiences offered by the resort. At 'Ohana, you will find a very different experience at breakfast than at dinner. In the morning, you can sit down to an all-you-can-eat family-style meal while Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch circulate among the tables, stopping by to sign autographs or pose for photographs. At night, the restaurant serves up all-you-can-eat fire-roasted meats, stir-fried vegetables and lo mein noodles in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere where children can partake in games and activities. 'Ohana is located on the second floor of the resort's main building, the Great Ceremonial House, near the monorail station.

The Kona Cafe serves Polynesian cuisine with an Asian flare. The breakfast menu includes traditional favorites like eggs and pancakes, as well as island-inspired selections including macadamia nut pancakes and Tonga toast, a banana-stuffed French toast. The lunch and dinner menus include selections such as fish or barbecued pork tacos, miso-glazed mahi-mahi, stir-fried Asian noodles and beef teriyaki salad. Next to the Kona Cafe, you will find the Kona Island Sushi Bar and Kona Island Coffee Bar, which offer a similar atmosphere without the need for reservations. The Kona Cafe is located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House just across from 'Ohana.
If you would prefer to grab a quick meal instead of being served in a full-service restaurant, you can stop by Captain Cook's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Captain Cook's offers indoor or outdoor seating, or you can carry your food out to the beach or back to your room. The restaurant serves a mix of American food and Asian-inspired dishes such as stir-fried noodles and Hawaiian flatbread pizza. A refillable mug is available that lets you enjoy unlimited soft drink refills during the length of your stay. Captain Cook's is located on the ground floor of the Great Ceremonial House near the gift shops and arcade.
The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is a luau that takes place five nights a week at Luau Cove near the resort's beach. Your ticket price includes the show, an all-you-can-eat meal and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. Due to the outdoor stage and for the safety of the performers, the Spirit of Aloha may be canceled in the event of rain or if temperatures dip below 50 degrees. Due to the show's popularity, reservations may fill up weeks or months in advance, and a 48-hour cancellation policy is in effect.
