The Disney monorail system is comprised of three tracks: the express, resort and Epcot. The express track goes from the Ticket and Transportation Center, in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, to the Magic Kingdom without stops. The resort track stops at the TTC, the Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary Resort. The Epcot track transports guests between Epcot and the TTC.
There are approximately 14.7 miles of monorail track at Walt Disney World, where the 14 monorails travel an average speed of 40 mph.
The average length of a monorail is 170 feet for a five-car train and 200 feet for a six-car train. Each monorail weighs 50 tons when empty and, depending upon the number of cars, can hold more than 350 guests.
