Based on the popular adventure movies, the Indiana Jones Adventure combines a traditional roller coaster and simulated ride. The ride is set in the fictional Temple of the Forbidden Eye, complete with a 1930's atmosphere. Riders board a troop transport that can hold up to 12 riders at once. The ride mimics the experience of driving quickly through unsteady terrain. Riders will also experience booby traps and clues that will unlock a mystery by the end of the ride. The Indiana Jones Adventure ride provides cargo net compartments for riders to store their belongings. Pregnant women and individuals in poor health may want to avoid the ride for safety reasons. The ride is targeted towards older children, teenagers and adults. Riders must be 46 inches or taller to experience the Indiana Jones Adventure.
The Jungle Cruise is a 7-minute tour of jungles on an old-fashioned steamer boat. Riders view real foliage and authentic mechanical reproductions of exotic wildlife and animals, such as tigers, gorillas, elephants and piranhas. Each departing Jungle Cruise includes a skipper who also will serve as a tour guide. The Jungle Cruise has been a part of Disneyland for over 50 years, and additional features have been added over the years. The Jungle Cruise has no height or age limit, and the ride is wheelchair accessible.
Tarzan's Treehouse displays scenes and characters from Disney's animated Tarzan film. Visitors can make their way to the top of the 80 foot tall tree to experience life in the jungle. You can view the entire Aventureland area from the top of the treehouse. There is no height or age requirement to enter the treehouse; it is wheelchair accessible.
