California Screamin' is a popular roller coaster ride that sits by the water, resembles an old wooden roller coaster and offers fast spins and swirls. The ride has drops of more than 100 feet with a speed of 55 miles per hour to take you quickly around turns and loops. Children must have an adult present to ride, and those with heart, joint or muscle problems, or women who are pregnant, should skip this ride, according to the Disneyland website.
Flik's Flyers, a fun ride for small children, is found in California Adventure's kiddie-themed "a bug's land" area. Kids and parents can load into buggies that resemble old food boxes and get lifted up into the air to be swung around, offering riders views over the rest of "a bug's land." Mickey's Fun Wheel, located on Paradise Pier in California Adventure, takes guests up more than 145 feet for vast and pretty views of the water and rest of the park. Guests can ride on traditional buggies that sit on the wheel's outline, or in buggies that slide up and down the spokes of the ferris wheel as it turns. The ride operates based on weather conditions, so expected closures in poor weather.
