Where did the pleague first break out in Europe?

The plague first broke out in Europe in the port city of Caffa in the Crimea. Caffa was a major trading center, and it is believed that the plague was brought to the city by a Genoese ship that had come from the Black Sea. The plague quickly spread throughout the city, and within a few months, it had spread to Constantinople and other major cities in Europe.
