St. Patrick's Escape from Ireland

St. Patrick was not Irish by birth. He was a Briton (likely from western Roman Britain) captured by Irish raiders at age ~16 and enslaved in Ireland for six years.

He escaped after a divine vision, traveled 200 miles to a port, and convinced sailors to take him back to Britain. He later returned to Ireland as a missionary bishop (c. 432 AD).

Key correction: He didn't "escape Ireland" as a native—he escaped from Irish captivity to his homeland.
