What made Ireland part of Great Britain in 1800?

Ireland did not become part of Great Britain in 1800.

In 1800, the Kingdom of Ireland and the Kingdom of Great Britain were united to form the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. This was done through the Acts of Union 1800, which were passed by the parliaments of both countries.
