When to put up a Christmas tree in Ireland?

Christmas trees are traditionally put up in Ireland on or around December 8th, which is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Many choose to put their trees up on this day as it's seen as good luck. Some will wait to erect and decorate their Christmas tree on either the week-of, or weekend immediately preceding Christmas day depending on personal schedules etc.
