Can you walk around Loch Lomond?

There is no circular walking path that follows the entire perimeter of Loch Lomond, but there is a popular long-distance walking trail known as the West Highland Way that passes alongside a significant portion of the loch's western shoreline. The West Highland Way extends for approximately 155 kilometers (96 miles), starting from Milngavie near Glasgow and concluding at Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.

On this trail, you can experience dramatic highland landscapes, breathtaking mountain vistas, serene glens, and picturesque lochs, including several sections that offer outstanding views of Loch Lomond as you walk along its shores. However, it's important to note that you will not complete a full circuit around the loch during this trail.

If you're looking for a more encompassing experience, there's also the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Circuit. This route involves a combination of hiking, cycling, and kayaking or boat excursions, allowing you to explore and enjoy the national park from different angles. While it won't provide a complete walk around the entire loch, it offers a more comprehensive exploration of the region.
