What is the Irish word?

There is no one Irish word. Irish, also known as Gaelic or Irish Gaelic, is a Goidelic language of the Indo-European language family. It is the official language of the Republic of Ireland and one of the official languages of Northern Ireland. Irish is also spoken in parts of Scotland, the Isle of Man, and Argentina, and by pockets of the Irish diaspora around the world.
