What is the goal of majority people living in Northern Ireland?

The majority people living in Northern Ireland are known as unionists or loyalists. They generally identify as British and support Northern Ireland's continued union with the United Kingdom. The goal of many unionists is to maintain this constitutional status and strengthen the ties between Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Unionists prioritize upholding British sovereignty, preserving Northern Irish identity and culture, and fostering closer integration with the rest of the UK. They oppose any proposals for unification with the Republic of Ireland or a change in Northern Ireland's constitutional position within the UK.
