How are many homes in Ireland heated?

Oil heating is the most common form of home heating in Ireland, accounting for around 45% of all homes. This is followed by natural gas heating at around 37%, with the remainder being heated by a combination of methods such as electric heating, solid fuels, and renewable energy sources such as solar panels and heat pumps.
