Why was Henderson Island chosen as a World Heritage Site?

Henderson Island was not chosen as World Heritage Site. It is a candidate in the tentative list of UNESCO for this recognition since it is a remote atoll in the South Pacific Ocean that has been largely undisturbed by human activity.
