Can You Cross Directly from Brazil to Ecuador? No.

No Shared Border

Brazil and Ecuador do not share a land border. They are separated by two countries:

• Peru — lies between Brazil's western Amazon (Acre, Amazonas) and Ecuador's eastern Amazon (Orellana, Sucumbíos, Napo, Pastaza, Morona-Santiago, Zamora-Chinchipe).
• Colombia — lies north of the Peru-Ecuador border, also separating Brazil (Amazonas) from Ecuador.

• Brazil spans the continent's core (Atlantic to Peru/Colombia).
• Ecuador is on the northwest coast, straddling the Andes.
• The Amazon River basin connects them hydrologically, but not territorially.

Travel Between Them

• Fly: São Paulo (GRU) or Brasília (BSB) → Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE) ~6–8h (direct: LATAM, Avianca; 1-stop: Panama, Bogotá, Lima).
• Overland: Brazil → Peru (Assis Brasil → Iñapari) → Ecuador (long, difficult, multiple borders, river crossings). Not recommended for tourists.
