If a person stands on the north side of US and Mexico border shoots someone who is just south it in where does crime occur which country has jurisdiction?

The crime occurs in the country where the victim is shot, which in this case would be Mexico. Mexico would therefore have jurisdiction over the crime and the person who committed it.
