Travel Between Chetumal, Mexico and Corozal, Belize

Chetumal, Mexico, and Corozal, Belize, are separated by Chetumal Bay, which is about 1.9 kilometers (1.18 miles) wide at its narrowest point. There is no bridge or direct road connecting the two cities. Instead, a regular ferry service operates multiple times daily, making the crossing in approximately 15 minutes. Because no overland route exists, there is no driving distance between them; the ferry is the standard mode of transport for travelers and locals alike.
