Are there any restrictions on what you can bring to Spain?

- Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances or medical substances, including some pharmaceutical products, without authorisation from the Spanish Ministry of Health. (This includes cannabis and its derivatives, except for medical use.)

- Live animals, except for domestic animals and assistance dogs, which must be accompanied by a microchip and a valid health certificate.

- Explosives and flammable substances, including petrol and other fuels, ammunition and fireworks.

- Weapons and replica or imitation weapons.

- Counterfeit or pirated goods, including counterfeit clothes, DVDs and other goods protected by intellectual property rights.

- Plants, fruit and vegetables, unless they come from a registered supplier and have been treated in a way that eliminates any plant health risks.

- Wildlife and endangered species, including any animal or plant species listed in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
