Set in a dystopian future, Brazil follows Sam Lowry (Jonathan Pryce), a lowly bureaucrat who escapes the oppressive conformity of his society through daydreams of a beautiful woman (Kim Greist) and a heroic alter ego. When Sam's department makes a mistake, he is caught up in a Kafkaesque nightmare as he tries to fix it. Along the way, he meets a group of rebels, led by Archibald Tuttle (Robert De Niro), who are plotting to overthrow the government.
As Sam becomes more involved in the resistance movement, he begins to question his own sanity. Is the world he perceives real, or is it all just a figment of his imagination? Brazil is a visually stunning and thought-provoking film that explores themes of individuality, freedom, and the nature of reality.
