Who is the first to explore Peru and conquered incans?
The first European to explore Peru and conquer the Incas was Francisco Pizarro, a Spanish conquistador. In 1532, Pizarro landed in Peru with a small force of men and marched inland towards the Inca capital of Cusco. Along the way, he gained the support of several Inca rebel groups who were opposed to the rule of the Inca emperor, Atahualpa. Pizarro eventually captured Atahualpa and ransomed him for a room full of gold and silver. However, after receiving the ransom, Pizarro had Atahualpa executed and went on to conquer the rest of the Inca Empire.
