A passport is an official travel document issued by a country's government that certifies the identity and citizenship of its bearer. It is required for international travel to Mexico, as it allows the Mexican government to verify your identity and nationality and grants you permission to enter the country.
A valid passport is the only acceptable travel document for entry and exit from Mexico, and it must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of departure from Mexico. If your passport does not meet these requirements, you may be denied entry into Mexico or prevented from leaving the country.
In addition to a valid passport, you will also need to complete an immigration form (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) upon arrival in Mexico. This form is available at Mexican ports of entry and must be presented along with your passport to immigration officials.
