Do US citizens need a visa for travel to Cuba through Mexico?

US Citizens are required to obtain a Cuban Tourist Card (also known as a Visa) in order to travel to Cuba. It is the only authorized travel visa for US citizens to visit the island.

Obtaining a Cuban Tourist Card is a relatively straightforward process. US citizens can either purchase a Cuban Tourist Card online prior to their trip or purchase one upon arrival in Cuba at the airport or cruise port.

The process for obtaining a Cuban Tourist Card online involves filling out an application form and providing the following information:

* Full name as it appears on your passport

* Date and place of birth

* Passport number

* Arrival and departure dates

* Address in Cuba (if known)

After completing the application form, you will be required to pay a fee for the Cuban Tourist Card. The fee currently stands at $50 USD.

Once your application has been processed and your payment has been received, you will be issued with a Cuban Tourist Card. The card will be sent to you via email in PDF format. You can then print out the card and present it to the immigration authorities upon your arrival in Cuba.

Alternatively, US citizens can also purchase a Cuban Tourist Card upon arrival in Cuba. To do this, you will need to fill out an application form at the airport or cruise port. The fee for a Cuban Tourist Card purchased upon arrival is also $50 USD.

It's important to note that the Cuban Tourist Card is valid for a single entry to Cuba and stays of up to 30 days. If you plan to extend your stay in Cuba beyond 30 days, you will need to apply for an extension of stay with the Cuban authorities.
