Why did Spain end new Spain?

New Spain was not ended by Spain, in fact, it was the name given to the colonial territories of the Spanish Empire in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, established in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. These colonies were administered by the Viceroyalty of New Spain, based in Mexico City, which was responsible for the political, economic and military administration of these territories.

However, the independence movements that arose in the early 19th century led to the loss of much of these territories, beginning with the Mexican War of Independence in 1810, which led to the independence of Mexico and Central America in 1821. Other territories of New Spain, such as Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines, remained under Spanish control for several decades longer.
