How did eubank blvd get its name in Albuquerque new Mexico?

Eubank Boulevard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was named after William Eubank. Eubank was a prominent rancher and farmer who owned a large portion of the land that the boulevard now runs through. He was born in 1849 in Illinois and came to New Mexico in 1869. He married Martha Ann Smith in 1871 and they raised ten children. Eubank was a hard worker and a successful businessman. He was also very civic-minded and served as a county commissioner and a state representative. He died in 1928 and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Albuquerque.
