What was the result of Las Gorras Blancas?

Las Gorras Blancas, or the White Hats, was a rebellion that occurred in New Mexico between 1890 and 1891. The rebellion was led by a group of Hispanic people who were opposed to the economic and political control that was held by the Anglo-American population. The White Hats were able to temporarily take control of several counties in northern New Mexico, but were eventually defeated by the U.S. military.

The result of Las Gorras Blancas was that the Anglo-American population was able to maintain its control over New Mexico. The rebellion also led to the disenfranchisement of Hispanic people in New Mexico, which lasted until the 1960s.
