Cruises to Cancun, Mexico

A cruise vacation is a great way to see different parts of the world. Each day you wake up in a new destination, or have a full day at sea. Cruises are often quite economical, as your room and food (lots of food) are included in your package price. Many ports in Mexico are frequent cruise destinations. Surprisingly, only a few stop in Cancun.
  1. Carnival Fantasy

    • The Fantasy, a Carnival cruise ship, sails to Cancun. The five-night cruise leaves from Mobile, AL, and includes a stop in Cozumel, Mexico. The Fantasy recently had a multi-million dollar renovation to upgrade the ship's look and design, including flat screen TVs in every room, a mini golf course, a resort-style pool, a water park and an adults-only relaxation area.

    MSC Poesia

    • MSC cruise lines offers a 10-day cruise aboard the Poesia, which includes a stop in Cancun (Playa del Carmen). The cruise departs from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and also stops in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Cristobal, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The MSC Poesia includes a sushi bar, and zen relaxation garden, waterfall bridges, and a 12,000 square foot spa.

    Carnival Elation

    • The Elation, a Carnival ship, sails a similar route to its partner, the Fantasy. The five-night cruise aboard the Elation departs from Mobile, Alabama and stops in the Mexican cities of Cozumel and Cancun. The Elation includes an Internet cafe, six-story atrium, outdoor sports area, three swimming pools, Camp Carnival for kids, shops, a casino and several bars and clubs.
