    • Mexico sprawls over 700,000 square miles, with terrain varying among coastal plains, deserts and mountains.

    People

    • The population of over 111 million (as of July 2009) primarily speak Spanish, with the majority of mixed Spanish and American Indian blood.

    Transportation

    • The country boasts over 1800 airports as well as over 10,000 miles of railway and 220,000 miles of roadway.

    Documents

    • According to the U.S. State Department, American citizens require only a government ID to enter the Mexican border zone for 72 hours or less. However, these travelers require a passport to re-enter the United States.

    Money

    • The unit of currency is the Mexican peso, which trades with 1 American dollar at 11.016, as of 2008.
